Peel College conducted a seminar on Careers in Child Care Industry. The seminar was conducted by Ms. Anu Yadav , who has varied and long experience in early childhood education. Her focus was to inform the participants about the meaning of early childhood education, organisations offering early childhood education and their working models, credentials required to work in the field, rules and regulations governing this particular field as well as job prospects in early childhood education. The participants were satisfied by the information provided and felt equipped to make an informed decision in the future, if they decided to enter in this field.

LEARNING & CARE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD – A WORKSHOP. 8 December  2017 at 1830 hrs.

Ontario is transforming its early years and child care system, to give children the best possible start in life. 45,000 new spaces in licensed child care will be added in the coming years. The Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) is a curriculum guide developed by Best Start experts on Early Learning, to support Early Childhood programs in Ontario such as child care centers, regulated home child care, nursery schools, kindergarten, Ontario Early Years Centers, etc. Peel College of Professional Studies is holding a brief workshop to introduce six principles of early learning framework. Caregivers working in early childhood settings are welcome to attend this workshop to become familiar with ELECT. The workshop will be conducted by Ms. Namita Dandekar.

On 8 December 2017 Peel College Of Professional Studies hosted a workshop on ELECT (Early Learning for Every Child Today), which is a Government of Ontario’s framework for improving quality in early child care and education. Ms Namita Dandekar, a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) conducted the well attended two hours of informative session. Ms. Namita has extensive experience in this field and was very forthcoming about the career scope. The attendee’s feedback was positive and encouraging. Peel College extends it’s thanks to the speaker and to the audience.
